The design process at DNJ Web Creations
There is more to designing a good Web site than throwing together some HTML consisting of pictures and text. In order to properly represent your business or organization, we get to know you and your business. With our marketing and sales background, we understand what it takes to market and sell your products.
During our initial free consultation, we can discuss what type of Web presence would best be suited for you. Some people have very specific ideas of what they want and need, and others know they need to get online, but are not sure where and how to start. This is where we work with our clients to create the most cost effective solution that gets our clients an effective Internet presence.
Some Web site design Q & A's
Q: What is the difference between a good Web site and a not so good Web site?
A: A good Web site should quickly convey to it's visitors exactly what the Web site is about (who you are and what you have to
offer visitors), and how to navigate and find what the visitor is looking for. From a technical perspective the Web site
should load fast and function properly on all computers and Web browsers.
Q: How long does it take to complete my Web site?
A: That depends on the complexity of the Web site. A simple business card site can be done in less than 2 weeks, a complex site
with E-commerce and dynamic content may take as long as 6-8 weeks. Once we have an understanding of what the client is looking for
we can give a detailed cost and time estimate.
Q: I want to be able to modify sections of my Web site, but I am not very computer literate, can you do that?
A: The short answer is Yes! We have created many custom Content Management Systems (CMS) for our clients. Some examples include giving
a band owner the ability to modify gig dates, and allowing clients with ever changing inventory to add/delete/modify the inventory
that is displayed on their site. We do this typically using PHP and MySQL databases under the covers, allowing you the to be
able to make make changes to your site
as easy as filling out a Web site contact form.
